Editing
We offer high quality editing services. Our editors come from an academic background and are all published authors themselves. In edition to English, we have specialized skills for religious studies, theology, and biblical studies, including proficiency in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic.
Copyediting
We can edit your text to conform to a standard style manual, such as the Chicago Manual of Style or the Modern Language Association Style Guide, or to style guides developed for particular fields of study, such as the Society of Biblical Literature Handbook of Style. We can also use internal style guides that publishers have developed for particular projects.
Digital Typesetting and Copy Processing
When the manuscript is complete and ready for publication, we can design a layout for the book that captures the character of the work. We can create your layout either Adobe InDesign or Quark Xpress, depending on your publishing needs. We have experience typesetting complex fonts, including Hebrew and Greek, which require extra attention to detail in order to line up correctly in the printed text.
Proofing
We can proof your text at any stage of the development process to ensure quality and consistency in style. We will also provide you with PDF proofs to look over for yourself. If you are a publisher and have your own proofers, we are happy to work with them.
XML Markup
Why stop with a printed version of the book? We can do XML markup that will enable your book to be repurposed for the web or formatted as an e-book that can be read on Amazon.com's Kindle or other electronic reader. XML is also a great format for archiving your text for reuse in the future or for exchange between any number of publishing tools.
Publishing
We work with print-on-demand services like Lightning Source to help authors self-publish their books. Print-on-demand means you don't have to worry about keeping track of inventory yourself. When someone orders your book, they print as many as needed and send them directly to the store or customer. The printer takes the cost of printing the book, and the rest is sent to you as profit.
Graphic Design
We can design your book from cover to cover, including the cover. We can create any illustrations or charts you need for your book. If you would like to promote your book, we can also produce marketing materials as well.
eBooks
We can format your book for electronic publication, including formats supported by Amazon.com's Kindle. Your readers don't have to wait to get their hands on your latest work. They can download it to their hand-held device without having to drive to a bookstore.
Web Page Design and Development
If you need a web page to market your book, we can design one for you.
